Welcome to our new season
A message from the Chairman
Over the previous two seasons, three of our Campden concerts have been successfully staged in St. James’ Church. As a result, and taking into account feedback from members, the committee took the decision that all six concer ts for this our fifty second season would be staged in the wonderful setting of St. James’ Church. This venue also allows for the expansion of the programme both in terms of the number and range of ar tists that can be engaged, and we trust that members will gain even more enjoyment from attendance at concerts.

The season commences with the return of the superb English String Orchestra, who should sound even better in the new venue! The programme continues with the Maggini Quartet, one of the finest British string quartets, followed by the dynamic vocal ensemble, Blossom Street Singers, for our Christmas offering, and in 2013, three concerts, featuring one of our finest brass ensembles, Onyx Brass, the fine young pianist, Christopher Guild, and the Cologne based Kammerphilharmonie Europa playing their final concert of a UK tour. In addition, four visits have been arranged for members to enjoy opera, ballet and the CBSO in Birmingham.

May I once again thank all those local businesses who have been most generous in supporting Campden Music through sponsorship and advertising – their contributions play an important part in ensuring that we continue to attract musicians of the highest quality to Campden. The level of subscription has been held at last season’s price of £55 for six concerts. Please help us by subscribing to the forthcoming season, (with your friends), as soon as possible.
